Bottle Thickness Measuring Equipment
The equipment is designed to measure the wall thickness at any point correctly.
Tech. Features of the Equipment :-
- The equipment is based on the concept to measure wall thickness at any point without cutting the bottle and save the cost of bottle. It is NON DESTRUCTIVE type testing.
- The structure of the equipment is sufficiently rigid and rugged to eliminate any deflection in measurement of the bottle and hence it assures resolution and accuracy as to 0.01 mm on dial gauge or 0.01 mm on digital gauge.
- The measuring ball point indentors used on, and under the curved surface of the bottle are such that it will not have any influence on thickness measurement.
- The proportion i.e. ratio of radius of curved surface and indentor ball is 1: 20 (approx.)
- There is provision to align vertically straight-lined the indentors on both side of thickness measuring object to eliminate any error.
- There is a provision to align the wall of bottle horizontally by providing a adjustable Nylon bush which keep the test bottle perfectly horizontal aligned and keep the measuring wall correctly perpendicular to the axis of measuring indents on either side.
- Assured repeat accuracy of thickness measurement is ± 0.01 mm.
