Impact Testing of raw materials or finished products is conducted to find physical properties, impact strength, i.e. breaking resistance of the test sample. There are various types of impact test machines available for plastics and/or other materials as per specifications of Bureau of Indian or any other International Standards.

1) Falling Weights type Impact.
    IS : 4985:2000, IS : 12235.

This is applicable for rigid PVC Pipes and moulded pipe fittings plastic sheets and other similar products. It comprises of specific shapes & sizes and value of weights. The falling weights are provided with specific striking notch as per Indian and International Standards. The Weights are allowed to fall freely through smooth vertical guides with minimum friction. The gear operated mechanism is provided to accommodate different sizes of pipe and pipe fittings from 20 mm to 630 mm. The weight release mechanism is provided with adjustable mounting system to adjust the height of fall upto 2 meter. Heavy 120 ° ‘V’ Shaped base platform ensure the vibration free & accurate performance.
